Aerosol Characterization Using Spectroscopy and
Imaging

Results X-Ray Florescence analyses show that
there are traces of metals such as iron,
aluminum, and titanium, in aerosol particles.
These may have came from a local sources such as
factories and automobiles exhaust. High counts of
calcium were also found but, source is not yet
determined and may indicate sea-spray source.
Cultures from the aerosol samples were viewed
using the Scanning Electron Microscope. The
thirteen microorganisms found were all bacteria
and fungi. They were classified by shape but not
yet identified.
