?1918 The first course at metallurgical
department of Moscow Mining Academy (MMA)
?1930

Moscow Institute of Steel (MIS), separated from
MMA, became an independent institution of Higher
Education ?1962

MIS and Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals
and Gold were combined into one with the name
of Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys ?1993

MISA
obtained the status of Technological
University ?2000 MISA was awarded by the Prize
of the Governement of Russian Federation in the
Field of Quality
President of Russian Federation V.V.Putin with
MISA scientists V.A.Romenetz and A.S.Lileev.
