Improving Student Achievement
Goal 1 ECC will increase the percentage of
students school-wide who score proficient or
higher in Writing, by 5 as measured by their CST
cluster scores of Written Oral Language
Conventions. This increase will reflect growth
from 79.5 to 83.5 of students proficient in
this area.

19El Camino Creek Proposed SMART Goal For Improving
Student Achievement
Goal 2 ECC will increase the percentage of
students school-wide who score proficient or
higher in ELA, as measured by the CST, from 83.8
in 2007 to 87.99 in 2008. We will increase our
scores school-wide by 5. We will also increase
advanced scores by 5 as well (from 49 to
51.45).

- Teachers will use State content standards,
district adopted textbooks and supplemental
materials that are aligned with the State Content
Standards in order to support all students in
meeting or exceeding standards. - Reading Club to provide reading support for
students who are not yet proficient in reading to
help them move to the proficient level -
