Here in Colorado, we have beautiful snow.

Target asked us to do a snowmelt project for
their new Silverthorne store.

The dock area slopes down toward the doors the
snow blows and drifts creating an operational
challenge as well as a potential safety hazard.

The snowmelt system operates with hot water made
by these boilers.

Large diameter supply and return lines carry the
hot water to and from the boilers.

The first step is insulating the slab from the
ground.

Distribution manifold boxes are set strategically.

Here the main supplies and returns route the hot
water to and from the field circuits.

The field circuits are attached to steel mesh.

A sensor (right, low center) reads the
temperature and moisture and activates the system
ahead of the snowfall.

Shown here is the main store entry area ready for
the concrete slab to be poured.

Accessible sidewalks are also snowmelted.
