"In 1913, the Church adapted Scouting as part of
the activity program for Aaronic Priesthood
quorums and later for Primary boyes ages eight
and older. By providing opportunities for boys
and young men to put into practice the gospel
lessons they learn in home or at Church, Scouting
programs have been used to support the Priesthood
. . .Under priesthood leadership, Scouting can
complement the purposes of Aaronic Priesthood
quorums and Primary classes in building
testimonies in boys and young men. Scouting can
help boys and young men love and serve the Savior
and honor their parents.

Conclusion
  • The Church chose wisely when they embraced the
Scouting program as their base camp to manhood.
Pyromaniacal Scouts who once built roaring fires
replicating the cleansing of the earth in the
last days, now gently kindle flames of testimony
    in the honest-hearted missionaries.
