  • Establish 200 mile fisheries limit and research
    in-shore and off-shore fisheries
  • Develop tourism especially finance facilities
    e.g. hotels
  • New runway and civil air link (at least 8,500ft)
  • Deep water port facility (up to 8m draft)
  • Expand camp road network
  • Wind power for Stanley Camp

re-build
As a result of the conflict HMG now had the
political will to implement the Shackleton
development strategy. Aid came in a number of
ways
  • 31m of development aid
  • 15m for rehabilitation reconstruction
  • 17.3m other donations

HMG also built a new runway and provided a
floating port facility in Stanley (FIPASS), which
FIG subsequently purchased.
