highest quality hockey programs in the world.

2005-2006 KEY INITIATIVES
  • The OMHAs development programs have been
    essential in providing local coaches, trainers,
    referees, and associations with the skills to
    enhance a players hockey experience.
  • Certification clinics, Mentorship Programs,
    Skills Camps, IP Festivals, Safe and Fun
    Jamborees, Skills Challenges and Specialty
    Clinics were all part of our programming.

  • Full implementation the Competency-based NCCP
    Coaching clinics
  • Conducted the Lightweight Blue Puck Pilot Study
  • 10 - OMHA / Hockey Canada Skills Development
    Camps
  • Rogers Community TV documentary Making U17
  • HTCP Level 1 Re-qualification Clinic for Trainers
  • Ongoing implementation of the Referee Supervision
    Program
  • Launched 3rd location of OMHA Referee School
  • OMHA Development Newsletters e-Newsletter

our membership.

NEW STANDARD OF PLAY
  • The biggest impact on minor hockey will be the
    introduction of the New Rules Standard passed at
    the Hockey Canada AGM this May. The goals of this
    initiative are

  • Enhance the Game for all Players
