• Being the supreme ruler he upheld law, justice
  and morals, and this made him the spiritual
  leader of both gods and men.

Why Zeus and not Cronus other kids?

• After Cronus had been warned that one of his
  children would depose him. Cronus knowing the
  consequences, as he had overthrown his father
  Uranus.
• To prevent this from happening Cronus swallowed
  his newborn children.
• But his wife Rhea and Gaia their mother, wrapped
  a stone in swaddling clothes in place of the
  infant Zeus. Cronus thinking it was the newborn
  baby swallowed the stone.
• Meanwhile Rhea had her baby taken to Crete, and
  there, in a cave on Mount Dicte, the divine goat
  Amaltheia suckled and raised the infant Zeus.

Sacrifices

• Priests must conduct regular sacrifices.
• The priests will look for sheep, cattle or goats
  to offer up to Zeus.
• Sometimes the almighty Zeus himself will appear
  in your city.
• Zeus will also heed your prayers. If he grants
  your prayer, he will personally repel the next
  enemy army that invades your city.
• If Zeus notices that a particularly strong army
  is coming to attack your city, he may take it
  upon himself to crush it on your behalf.
• The oracle at Zeus' temple will help you predict
  the future. If the priestesses at the oracle
  respond to your inquiries, they will alert you to
  an event that will happen in one year's time. on
  your city.
