Mission Statement
- Assistance League of Conejo Valley is a nonprofit
service organization comprised of volunteers who
identify, develop, implement and fund ongoing
philanthropic programs to improve the lives of
children and adults in our community.

- Members volunteered more than
- 12,500 hours
- in service to the community.
13Philanthropic Programs2006-2007
- 1,125 children received backpacks filled with
school supplies. - 785 clothing packets along with shoe vouchers
were provided to elementary school children.

- In Spring 2007, a pilot program was instituted at
Target giving children the opportunity to choose
their clothing and shoes. This program proved to
be so successful that our entire clothing program
has been converted to this method assuring
increased self-esteem!

16- Emergency clothing kits were supplied to 31
elementary schools.

- 1,785 CASEY bears were distributed to hospitals,
urgent care centers, fire sheriff departments.

- 750 third graders were given instructions on how
to deal with potentially dangerous situations
through What If Im Home Alone?

- 140 third grade students received Longmans
Dictionary of American English for home study and
third grade classrooms were equipped with
hardbound copies.

- Through the Literacy project, 100 students
received weekly support from Assistance League
volunteers to improve reading skills.

22Masquerade 2007
A beautiful GALA was held at the Four Seasons
Hotel March 3rd. The room was festively
decorated in the Masquerade theme. More than 300
guests in attendance bid on 100 items and danced
the night away to the music of Morris Wade.
