DOWNWARD OPENING WEIR GATES

• Can be operated by level control sensor in order
  to automatically pace the amount of flow
  discharged, or to maintain a constant upstream
  water depth
• Gate can be constructed as a sandwich style, a 1
  solid FRP or Heavy Duty Titeseal
• Guides are typically surface-mounted with a
  spigot back with seals down each side and across
  invert
• Seals are mounted on the guide

HEAVY DUTY TITESEAL SLUICE GATE

• Designed to handle high head applications of 50
  feet or more in seating and unseating service
• Seals on all 4 sides
• Sizing can range from about one foot square to
  over ten feet in width and height.
• Copolymer gate thickness is determined by the
  internal reinforcing steel structure as designed
  to limit deflection
• No need for wall thimbles
• Guide is anchored to a flat surface and
  approximately one inch of grout is used to
  permanently seal between the guide and the wall.

HDTS GATE

• Neoprene J-seal and wedged bottom seal
  mechanically fastened to the gate for easy
  maintenance and inspection
• UHMW low-friction sliding surface reduces the
  lifting force required to move the gate under
  unseating head
• Maximum leakage with seating and unseating head
  shall not exceed 0.10 gpm/ft of wetted perimeter
• Adjustable wedging assembly allows for easy
  adjustment to achieve the specified leakage rate.
• Wedge design allows gate to move freely in the
  guide after only a few inches of travel upward

HEAVY DUTY STOP LOGS

• Typical guide material is Stainless Steel or FRP
• Guides are designed for embedding, surface
  mounting, or in-channel mounting
• Seals are mechanically attached to the bottom of
  each stop log and both sides of the guide rail
• Bottom seals have a dual neoprene lip resulting
  in a consistent, firm sealing surface across the
  entire width of the log
• Logs have S/S lifting pins
• Optional auto latching lifting beam
• All guide frames and logs are custom made for
  each application

HEAVY DUTY GATE AND STOP LOG CONSTRUCTION

• The gates and logs are fabricated using a
  reinforced copolymer composite material (FRP),
• Totally encapsulates an internal structural steel
  matrix
• Steel infrastructure is coated to create a bond
  with the Composite material
• No seams, joints or cut edges.
• The core of the gate and log is completely sealed
  against any corrosive attack by water or
  chemicals that might be present in the stream.
