We started with different ideas

• Head of Jonny Depp
• Skull
• Bug
• Alien with flying saucer
• Guy with an afro
• Fairy with an Amy Winehouse hair style Peter pan
  Hooded Ghost
  
• Human Hand

Then we narrowed it down to a few

• Jonny Depp head
• Human Hand
• Bug
• And Hooded ghost

The final design we chose was the Human Hand

How we made it

• First we mixed glue with sawdust and put it into
  a plastic glove with its fingers tied to create
  the palm of the hand.

Next we

• We pealed back the glove once the mixture had
  set.
  
• Then we made fingers out of chicken wire by
  winding the chicken wire round its self.
  
• Then we drilled holes were each of the fingers
  should be with the hand drill and then slowly and
  carefully pushed the wire fingers into the holes.

And

• We cut drinks can up into little pieces and then
  stuck those pieces onto the palm of the hand and
  also put the ring pulls off the cans onto the
  fingers as nails.

Lastly..

• We mounted the hand on some aluminium rod that
  was spare in the tech room and a piece of scrap
  wood.
