  • One percent of teenage girls in the U.S. develop
    anorexia nervosa and up to 10 of those may die
    as a result.
  • 1 in 10 of this percentage will die.

What are the similarities and differences between
bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder.
  • Like bulimics, people with binge eating disorder
    eat large amounts of food at one time. Unlike
    bulimics, binge eaters do not purge to rid their
    bodies of the food.
  • Research suggests that about four percent (4),
    or four out of one hundred, college-aged women
    have bulimia.
