9Subsequent Data Processing
- ASCII raw data file(s) are captured from analyzer
- Capture is usually to PC data logger
- Usually a new file created every few days
- Files are usually processed through Tekran
provided application, Combine before further use
10Uses of Combine Program
- Provided as a convenience to make data reduction
easier. It is not necessary - Combines several raw files into larger file
- Separates data into three files
- xxxx.DAT file
- Contains only the mercury readings
- Time aligned to allow easy production of time
plots in Excel - xxxx.CAL file
- Contains Zero/Span areas
- May be used to produce bar charts
- xxxx.MSC file
- All other data e.g. calibrations, setups, title
lines, etc
