Introduction
  • As you might not know, Hank Aaron was a great
    baseball player for the Atlanta Braves. He is
    still living today also. There is a lot to learn
    about him, he is very famous for being an African
    American baseball player. I will fill in all the
    blanks about Hank Aaron in this presentation. He
    has retired now but still watches it on TV.

Background
  • Hank Aaron was born in Mobile, Alabama on
    February 5, 1934. He played baseball, mainly for
    the Atlanta Braves. He had a brother named Tommy
    Aaron who also played for the Braves. He lived in
    Down at the Bay, a very poor town with mostly
    blacks. In high school he played shortstop when
    he played for the Indianapolis Clowns. He never
    had any love life although he had many fans that
    adored him.

Accomplishments
  • Hank Aaron had a lot of accomplishments in his
    life here are a few.
  • He was the first Black baseball player to beat
    Babe Ruths home run record.
  • He was the first black baseball player to join
    the 300 club, that was a club for people that got
    300 or more hits.
  • He was a very good man that always got
    discriminated for being black, but he just kept
    playing baseball.
  • He also made it into the American league all
    stars and blasted two home runs.

Obstacles
  • Hank Aaron had many obstacles, a lot of people
    treated him poorly because of the fact he was
    black. He was a awesome baseball player but he
    even once got punched by a white person because
    he was mad at him for beating Babe Ruth's home
    run record. He did not care what people did to
    discriminate him he just kept on playing
    baseball.

Tributes
  • The biggest tribute to him is the Hank Aaron
    statue. It is very tall and made of bronze It is
    made in honor of his bravery, skill and courage.
    He did not get any other awards because he is
    black.

Conclusion
  • In conclusion Hank Aaron was a good baseball
    player who fought through injustice and
    discrimination just to play baseball. Bye!
