What is a podcast?
  • Term came from iPod and broadcasting
  • Podcasting is the method of distributing
multimedia files, (audio, videos, etc.) for
playback on mobile devices and personal
    computers.
  • Podcasting is essentially like 'radio' and can be
produced with a standard computer, microphone,
software (often free), and a web site (or shared
    drive) for posting your programming.
  • Podcasting can be heard or viewed with any
computer or downloaded to a mobile device.

Student Feedback
  • The best part about using a podcast
  • i could go back and listen to it again if i
    missed anything
  • I liked the podcast because when i didnt
understand something or needed it to be repeated,
i could just rewind it and listen.
  • It was a lot easier to understand then written
directions, and if I didn't understand I could
play it as many times as as I needed to!
  • hearing my teacher on the computer and rewinding
when not able to understand pause when going to
restroom instead of missing half of the lesson.

Student Feedback
  • Additional comments
  • more teachers need to do podcast
  • think it should be used by all teachers in
    everygrade.
  • think it should be used by all teachers in
    everygrade.
  • Podcasts should be used more for teaching and
learning because now with iPods, you can record
and save the podcast in order to help study for
any tests and quizzes that you may have.
  • they're cool but video and music added to them
    would be even better )
