Title: CST ELA and Algebra 200506: Santa Cruz
1Star Testing What have we done? What can we
do? What can you do?
2When Do Our Students Try Hard?
- Our athletes try on the court, on the field,
always. - Students try on their college entrance exams.
- Most students try to get aheadbut not all!
- The actors, actresses, musicians and stage
helpers worked hardand it showed in Mata
sponsored Talent Show held last month. - The writers, editors, technical staff and
reporters on CatzNews try hard! - Our actors and actresses in Ray Bradburys The
Wonderf Ice Cream Suit as is the entire staff in
our next production Blood Wedding. - Our Mayor and over 64 other leaders in our
community tried hard for us last year during the
STAR testing for they came on campus to serve
pizza and say thanks to the many students who did
try hard last year!
3When do our students try hard?
- Our LaCrosse Team has taken off because some
coaches and students and parents tried hard! - Our Scholar Catz try hard! We had 350 after our
first quarter and over 515 after our second
quarter. - Our many dancers practice hardand it showed last
months show of Cultura Caliente. It was hot! - Our student leaders try hard when they organize
our great rallies and have worked hard to make
our first two rallies in the new gym work for
EVERYONE on campus! - Our ROP Merchandising Class tries hard and it
shows when we see the very well done Fashion
Shows.
4Where does our trying lead to?
- Because of the computers in our cars, auto
mechanics are tested every two yearsjust to keep
their job. - Because manufacturing no longer is an option in
the job market, a high school diploma is not
sufficient. More education is a must!!! - The rewards are too great and the consequences
are too severe! - What does the Black and Gold mean to you? To Our
Community?
