My Grown-Up Christmas List As children we
believed The grandest sight to see Was
something lovely Wrapped beneath the tree Well
Heaven surely knows That packages and bows Can
never heal a hurting human soul

1Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for
those who were in distress. In the past he
humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of
Naphtali, but in the future he will honour
Galilee of the Gentiles, by way of the sea, along
the Jordan
2The people walking in darkness have seen a great
light on those living in the land of the shadow
of death a light has dawned. 3You have enlarged
the nation and increased their joy they rejoice
before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as
men rejoice when dividing the plunder.

4For as in the day of Midians defeat, you have
shattered the yoke that burdens them, the bar
across their shoulders, the rod of their
oppressor. 5Every warriors boot used in battle
and every garment rolled in blood will be
destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire.
6For to us a child is born, to us a son is given,
and the government will be on his shoulders. And
he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty
God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

7Of the increase of his government and peace
there will be no end. He will reign on Davids
throne and over his kingdom, establishing and
upholding it with justice and righteousness from
that time on and for ever. The zeal of the Lord
Almighty will accomplish this.

the foolishness of God is wiser than mans
wisdom (1 Cor. 125a) Oh, the
depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge
of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his
paths beyond tracing out! Who has know the mind
of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?

COUNSELOR

• Christ the power of God and the wisdom of
  God. (1 Cor. 124b)
• Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures
  of wisdom and knowledge.

• He is the sum total of all knowledge,
• all wisdom, all guidance, all direction,
• all truth, all counsel, all insight.

• Father of Eternity
• As a father has compassion on his children, so
  the Lord has compassion

• If you, then, though you are evil, know how to
  give good gifts to your children, how much more
  will your Father in heaven give good gifts to
  those who ask him! (Mt. 711)

EVERLASTING FATHER

• Father of Eternity
• Jesus Christ is the same yesterday
• and today and for ever.
• (Heb. 138)

His Name Is
PRINCE of PEACE
Peace with God For he himself is our peace, who
has made the two one and has destroyed the
barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by
abolishing in his flesh the law with its
commandments and regulations. His purpose was to
create in himself one new man out of the two,
thus making peace, and in this one body to
reconcile both of them to God through the cross,
by which he put to death their hostility. He came
and preached peace to you who were far away and
peace to those who were near. For through him we
both have access to the Father by one Spirit.
(Eph. 214-18)

PRINCE of PEACE
Inner Peace Peace I leave with you my peace I
give to you. I do not give to you as the world
gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled or
afraid. (Jn. 1427) And the peace of God
that transcends all understanding, will guard
your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

What We Find In Jesus We find peace, and the
Prince of Peace We find righteousness, and the
Righteous One We find counsel, and the
Counsellor We find wonders, and the Wonderful
One We find salvation, and the Saviour We
find the Kingdom, and the King. In Jesus, we
find more gifts Than our hearts can imagine

Surrender I am the Lords servant, Mary

conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She
will give birth to a son and you are to give him
the name Jesus, because he will save his people

the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as

Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of
great joy that will be for all people. Today in
the town of David a Saviour has been born to you
he is Christ the Lord. Glory to God in the
highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his
favour rests. (Lk. 211-14)
