2Summary
This PowerPoint presentation is an overview of
the structure of the leaders of the Confederate
army at the battle of Gettysburg in July of 1863,
including the commanding general, lieutenant
generals, and major generals. The project can be
used to reinforce SOL material for US history on
the Civil War (VUS.7). Throughout the project,
students can get a better understanding of how
the army was organized, and a personal look at
the men who led thousands of soldiers in the
largest war on American soil. The American
Experience website and google image search was
used as a resource for this project.
