• Attended the University of Georgia
• 24 years teaching experience at Lovett
• Husband(for 49 years)- David Houk -retired
• 3 sons- Dusty, Hollis, and Walker
• 3 grandsons
• 2 granddaughters
• The biggest Bulldog fan ever!!! )

• Attended The University of Georgia

• Getting married on November 8, 2008
• Currently working on a masters degree in

Arrival/Dismissal

• Late arrivals must sign in at the office
• Please display carpool name/ in the right side
  of the windshield and leave it there until
  children are in the car
  
• NO CELL PHONES, PLEASE!
• Early dismissals (see calendars for dates)
• PLEASE BE ON TIME!
• Please send in notes about changes in carpool
• Changes after the school day must be called into
  the office. (No e-mails, please!)

• Children are permitted to check out one books
  during our library time on B and E days.
  
• Books MUST be returned by the next Library day or
  no additional books may be checked out.

Parent/Teacher Conferences

• There will be three conferences during the year
• 1. September 5th (no school)
• 2. November 13th (1200 dismissal)
• November 14th (no classes)
• 3. February 19th (1200 dismissal)
• February 20th (no school)
• Conference schedule are made up
• approximately 3 weeks in advance.
• Please let me know if you have any
• specific requests about times or days.

• Please label all clothing items
• No jewelry, including watches, and no tattoos
• Please encourage your child to write his/her name
  using upper and lower case letters.
  
• Read! Read! Read!
• Have classmates over to play
• Play board games with your child to help develop
  one on one correspondence and build counting and
  sequencing skills

Additional Information

• Please read the student handbook
• If your child is sick, please keep them home. If
  he/she gets ill at school we will take them to
  the infirmary and you will be called to pick them
  up from there. You will still need to sign them
  out at the LS office
• ALWAYS sign in at the office when you come into
  the LS
  
• The weekly newsletter will be posted on the web
  on Friday
