Major Events of the American Revolution

• Boston Tea Party- Colonists rejected Tea Act by
  throwing Tea into the Boston Harbor
• Boston Massacre- British shot into a crowd of
  rebels and killed five
• Battle at Lexington and Concord- British met a
  crowd of minutemen in Lexington. They quickly
  overtook them and moved into Concord. Their
  thousands of minutemen met the Redcoats and saw
  their first victory.

• The Declaration of Independence has been divided
  into four sections (1) Preamble, (2) Declaration
  of Rights, (3) List of Grievances, (4) Statement
  of Independence

  lack of central government. States had too much
  power
• Set up a Federal System- A system were power is
