The NightmareBy Allison Cantwell
I once had a scary dream that I told my creative
writing I class. If some of you remember the
tale, I spoke of awakening in the middle of the
night drenched in sweat. Your body tinkles with
heat, your mouth and throat are dry with a slight
taste of smoke. In my scariest dream I went to
Hell...yeah the one where souls are tortured. At
first I fell down through endless darkness,
eventually I hit the floor very hard and stood up
to find I was in a bubble of white or pale yellow
light. I guessed I was in some sort of
basement-like room, but everything was dark this
place was the purist of black darkness ever.
5
The Nightmare continues
  • So as I walked through the unearthly dark four
pedestals lit with fire roaring to expose the
grim room, its walls covered in a red substance
of what I dont know. In the room there were
people in chains with their limbs contorted,
twisted, and gruesomely chained to opposite
walls. Then these black creatures some with goat
horns started to cut and peel off the peoples
skin, revealing their veins and muscle tissue
their screams still haunt me. After the peeling
a great wall of flames rushed pass the people
burning their skinless bodies, blood squirting,
screaming in torment. The fire came toward me
but I was safe from burning it was like nothing
more than a hot breeze for me.

6
Nightmare continued
  • As I frantically tried to figure out why I was
where I was, how come I needed to see this
torture, and how I was safe from this torment a
black goat-horned creature appeared right in
front of my face almost nose to nose. Before I
could react it said I can see you and you need
to leave, before youre trapped in this fate, no
sooner than two minutes after saying that I began
to fall backwards toward my body in my room.
Once back in my body I awoke like how I
previously told you, though I thought after
having that dream plus the help of some of my
closest friends I stopped being suicidal.

7
Friend from AfarBy Allison Cantwell
I remember that recent day at the protest march
its where we met for the first time. Through
there was a dreadful fog the lot of us wanted our
message heard. As I went to attain some orange
juice the picket signs separated, I noticed she
and I were the only ones without signs. I felt
connected to her in some way unexplainable so
why are you here? I questioned her respectfully.
Nothing much just protesting against
everything she answered back, I could sense my
eyes widening as a broad slow-moving grin came
about my face.
8
Friend from Afar continues
  • Really Im doing that too! a man then walked up
to us, and pushed me into my acquaintance to get
to the juice table. Hey whats your problem how
dare you treat a girl that way! she screamed at
the man, he just scampered away after getting his
juice. Argh I hate jerks like that I she
paused you helped me out thank you so much! I
exclaimed, while I clutched at her arm clinging
to it. She tried to run away but I was still on
her arm following her anywhere, would you go
away and stop clinging to me! as she swung her
arm still trying to escape. Wait-ah-ohum can I
know your name? I asked her after swiping the
dirt off my legs from her throwing me.

9
Friend from Afar continued
  • If you cant then no! she replied walking off
quickly. Ahwait-noum may I know your name? I
said awaiting a reply of rejection or friendship.
She smirked then scoffed and said the name you
may address me by is Kaylii. Kayliihmm
Kaylii, Kaylii, Kaylii, Kaylii I sang joyously.
Uh do you ever shut up? Kaylii asked. Nope,
oh and my name is Kitty I replied. Little did I
know we would become the best of friends for all
the time to come in this world.

About the AuthorBy Allison Cantwell
Im writing a story, though everyone else says
its a novel I doubt it is. My story has no or
little grammar or punctuation, but I feel the
plot and characters draw people into the story.
The characters are very comical and can be very
mean-spirited at times, but also theyre very
compassionate. My story takes place in another
world much like earth but with some differences
it starts with my new introduction telling of a
war between one kingdom against six other
kingdoms. The kingdom of Inagoro against the
magic syndicate( Inagoro is like America, and the
syndicate is just the other evil leaders against
Inagoro) the princess of Inagoro
11
About the Author continues
  • disappeared after her parents cast a massive
spell to end the war. Eighteen years later she
has reappeared but disguise herself at first
because of the rumors flying around the world(
kaitarokomoearth or world). Tales of that she
could bring the kingdom of Inagoro back which she
is trying to do, but the rumors cause both good
and bad people to search for her. Soon she
gathers new friends who for the time being are
her guardians, also soon the evil syndicate who
fought her parents send someone to obtain the
princess. For the purpose of her parents spell
was to suppress their powers within their
daughter and whoever sits on the throne with her
in a true love marriage gains that power.

12
About the Author continued
  • As for the war it has been frozen in time within
her kingdom which vanished from the world
underground like Atlantis and will resume when
she is seated at the throne with her true love to
    share her ancestral powers with.

Dr. SeussBy Allison Cantwell
Season early summer, month June, day about its
first week in, time midday is what Id have to
say is the best time, season, month and day to be
on Barrington Place. The weather warm with a
chance of cool, where on this street there is
only one rule. That during this, season, month
and day is a time dedicated to nothing but play.
To run and have fun, to scarily be so merrily on
such a joyous and porous day where all the stress
and worries melt away. There are some things
though that do wish to disturb this perfect time,
season, month and day and bring it down to its
destruction just like poor Pompey.

Techie talkBy Allison Cantwell
Meet Aira. She is a fourteen year-old girl with
the unique ability to communicate with machines
or anything electronic. Its three oclock in
the afternoon, and Aira is in her daily routine
of going to the local bookstore and getting some
coffee and a good book. Upon arriving, she
immediately jumped in line for the cafe, before
the line became overcrowded, as usual. As she
waited, she glanced around at the typical booky
coffeenauts, which are typical coffee drinkers.
Today there were more booky coffeenauts than
usual, due to a sci-fi convention nearby this
convention always brought visitors to the sci-fi
section.
15
Techie talk continues
  • One particularly large coffeenaut had a laptop
with a Star Wars logo on it. After seeing the
laptop, Airas face became pale with dread. Oh
no, please, anywhere but here. Maybe I can ignore
it, she thought. Suddenly, a loud computerized
voice came ringing into her ears, Help! please,
someone help. Get this fat oaf off me! Oh, your
stupid leet speak! Ouch, youre hurting my keys.
Oh, you really know how to push my buttons, you
    brainless buffoon!

16
Techie talk continued
  • Aira now was at the front of the line with her
hands covering her face in embarrassment. The
clerk asked, Are you okay? but this only caused
her to feel more embarrassed. Aira hated her
power. It was completely useless. Who would
want to be able to talk with their electric
    toothbrush, for crying out loud?
  • Aira didnt always have this power, though.
She got it from one of her fathers experiments.
June 18, 2003 was Airas fourteenth birthday
party. During the party her father called her to
the basement. What is it, Dad? I need to be
upstairs at my party so hurry up, she yelled at
    her father.

17
More Techie talk
  • Ah ha, I have found your birthday present.
Here you go, Honey. Enjoy. I feel its my best
work yet! her father exclaimed wearing his goofy
goggles. Aira took the gift from his hands.
Uhh...what is this thing? It weighs a ton!
Aira opened the present and found her father had
given her a bizarre robot that looked like a
disproportionate gorilla. She gave her father a
    look of bewilderment.
  • What you dont like it? Oh Honey, look what it
can do first. I designed it to help you with
    anything homework, chores, bullies...Watch! He
turned on the robot ape, and it began to dance,
asking how it may be of service, and finishing
    with a little bow.

18
Still Techie talk
  • Suddenly, huge sparks came from the robot
gorilla, as it malfunctioned racing about the
    basement. Honey, look out! Whoa...watch
it...hey...oh no...Honey! Airas father was too
late. His present crashed right into her feet
and electrocuted her until she was unconscious.
  • The result, to put it scientifically, of the
electricity from the shock combined with her body
causing her to have the ability to communicate
    with machines.

19
Cool Friends
This tale begins in the second grade which I had
to repeat, but I met this girl and we became
friends quickly. Soon she invited me to her
birthday party it was during the winter, and it
was the day before the blizzard of 1996. I
remember we were jumping on some beds and my
friend tackled her sisters legs, then she fell
and her head starting bleeding so we freaked out.
There are a few other things I remember but I
dont think some of them are appropriate or
theyre just stupid. The reason I remember this
for so long was because of the blizzard, so I was
the only girl who spent the night at this girls
sleep-over birthday party.
20
Cool Friends continues
  • She kept bothering me as I was trying to sleep,
and she told me about how much in was snowing
outside her basement door. When we awoke that
morning and looked at the basement door to see
that it was about two-thirds covered in snow.
Her mother came to get us and said we need to go
to your dads house because its on higher ground
were in the middle of a blizzard!, so we packed
everything we needed and I called my mom to get
picked up. I couldnt get a hold of my mom so we
got in the car and drove to my friends dads
house. We could only get to the bottom of the
hill where her dads house was on, so we had to
    walk up to his house.

21
Cool Friends continued
  • I was wearing only my pajamas some socks and a
pair of rain boots, and while we walked up this
hill I somehow lost my boots in the snow. To
this day I cant remember how I lost these boots
but I did, so I trudged on in socks and pajamas
soaked and freezing cold. At my friends dads
house we took off my socks to find my feet were
purple, blue and I couldnt move them. So I
called my mom got a hold of her and started
crying on the phone that I needed to get picked
up and where I was, also that I lost my boots...
I liked those boots. My friends parents were
trying to keep my feet from getting frostbitten
before my mother came to get me.

22
More Cool Friends
  • My mom showed up I hugged my friend and left,
then I repeated the second grade and completely
forgot my friends name. I always referred to
her as blizzard girl and told them my story at
parties and various places. At one of my other
friends parties I met Sarah soon she also
invited to a sleep-over party, well when I got
there this girl was looking at me funny. So I
was nervous because I dont know why she is
acting so funny around me, finally she said oh
my god are you Allison Cantwell and I said yes
while shaking my head. Then she screamed,
grabbed me and started jumping up and down oh my
god remember me Im Beth Anne

23
Still Cool Friends
  • I just stood there staring at her because I
didnt know what she is talking about afterwards
she said remember the blizzard of 1996 you and I
got stuck in that together and you lost your
boots. I tried so hard not to scream its
blizzard girl but I screamed too and jumped up
and down with her, finally after all that we
noticed Sarah just standing there confused at
what the crap is going on now kind of way.

24
Childish love SummerBy Allison Cantwell
Its time for me to run and hide, Its time for
me to run and hide, Its time for me to run and
hide, But why wouldst thou run and hide from
me? So that thou shalst chase after me. Does
thoust love me, then seek thyself out.
25
Childish love continued
  • Do not let thy actions cause thee to pout.
  • It is within thine love which causeth thee to be
    found.
  • So give chase my love, give chase to me.
  • Let thy feelings of love flow so freely, letting
    me be so gleely happy.
  • Now its time for me to run and hide,
  • It's time for me to run and hide,
  • Its time for me to run and hide.

26
Summer
  • An endless thought that no one knows,
  • A calm river that always gently flows,
  • The highway miles that never end with natures
    beauty and a grateful friend.
  • It is the season the perfect time,
  • It is the summer and this is its rhyme,
  • Although the summer goes by really fast its
still a season to add to your past.

27
A journey once beforeBy Allison Cantwell
This is my additional writing, its a piece from
my story A journey once before. The section of
the tale Im typing is when Calacia and her
friends Neith, Neithnezeldar, Efasnu, Tallen and
Achbor are in the town of Baruka. Its a town
much like Disney's Aladdin, and theyve just
found the local Inn. Inside the inn for only a
few moments the group orders some rooms and
foods, but caused a little bit of a scene where
Calacia had to use her powers. Well begin at
the point where they had just escaped a psycho,
Calacia just used her powers for the first time,
and they all had finished their meals.
28
A journey once before continues
  • I think its best that we all go to bed
together. I want everyone rested before we get
our new clothes tomorrow Neith whispered at the
table. What about Cala we cant let her be
alone tonight knowing some creep is after her!
Neithnezeldar protested, while the other guys
thought who could guard her through the night.
Suddenly, Tallen said, Ill watch over her
    tonight his offer shocked everyone.
  • Soon they all agreed to meet in the tavern
portion of the inn tomorrow morning, and departed
for their rooms. You better not come in, or
peek at me Tallen! Calacia yelled through the
door, which he was leaning on.

29
A journey once before continued
  • Oh please, I wouldnt dream of it he mumbled
to himself, waiting impatiently for the door to
open, kimala, which is Kaitarokomo for God, what
is taking you so long! The door swung open and
she was indeed outfitted would you be quiet?
Im done already! she complained, as Tallen
entered the room there he found a pillow and a
    blanket on the floor.
  • Uhh...what is this? he said pointing
indignantly at the pillow and blanket, it is
where youll be sleeping tonight she answered
    innocently.

30
More A journey once before
  • what there isnt another bed!
  • nope only one,
  • and you get it!
  • yes I should say so,
  • argh... fine Ill sleep on the floor! he said
grumpily and curled up on his slipshod bed. It
was very late into the night when, Tallen heard a
strange noise he thought to ignore it it wasnt
long till he remembered he was to guard Calacia
and awoke. The sight he saw made him think he
was dreaming, but no there was Calacia floating
above her bed, and going out the window.

31
Still A journey once before
  • Huh...oh no wait...come back! he quietly
yelled in the dark, oh great now I need to go
get her he protested, as he tried to climb down
the window with difficulty. Only two steps out
he lost his footing and fell to the ground nearly
breaking an ankle, Im going to kill that little
demon girl, when I get my hands on her! Tallen
picked himself and gave chase to Calacia who
appeared to be floating away even faster now, he
ran as fast as he could jumping and trying to
snatch her out of the air. Ahead he saw a pile
of logs, which he ran up making him high enough
just to grab her this failed when he tried to
get higher and fell into a small shallow well.

32
Bit more of A journey once before
  • Once out he looked around frantically for
Calacia and spotted her, which gave pursuit again
running and running he trying not to lose sight
of her, she floated down an alley. He raced own
the alleyway hoping not to lose sight of her
when, he ran into a muski which means cow that
kicked him into a pile of manure. When he
removed himself from the manure pile, still
running after Calacia tripped and rolled into to
watering trench. Tallen now tired, wet, dirty,
smelly and sore crawled up the hill to find
Calacia was lying right next to the citys gates.
  • He bolted right for her snatched her up and ran
to the inn soon there he opened the door quietly
    and headed for the stairs.

33
End of A journey once before
  • Poor Tallen limping up each step carrying
Calacia in his arms, shortly bumped into Neith
    and Achbor. Hey Tallen...whoa...what happened
to you!? they exclaimed, Tallen just glared at
them shoved Cala into their arms here you take
her... she is your problem now! he said through
gritting teeth, limping into his room and locked
the door behind him. Neith and Achbor just stood
there blinking at each other with what just
happened, shrugged and took Calacia to their room
    instead.

34
Most asked Questions
  • The assignment that was most challenging for me
was my memoir Cool Friends. The nature that
created this challenge was I did not have a copy
of my memoir to print out. So I asked Mrs.
Dowling to email it to me, but my computer would
not allow the attachment to pop-up. Mrs. Dowling
then saved my memoir to a floppy disk, but when I
tried to print it out I found out that my
computer, which is really a laptop didnt have a
floppy drive. However, I overcame this obstacle
by going to my neighbors house to print out my
memoir and set it up to the organization of the
    portfolio requirements.

35
Most asked Questions contin.
  • Id have to say the assignment that Im most
proud of is my fictional, short story Techie
talk. The particular things Ive done well with
this story are its very original and funny.
When a few people read over it they told me how
much they liked my creative use of words. For
example, my imaginary word of coffeenauts was
considered quite humorous. What a coffeenaut
is would be a person you see in a bookstore
always sitting by the café, reading or drinking
coffee some maybe have their laptops with them.
Im really proud and appreciative of the fact
that one of my friends read over the story, and
spent a whole hour with me fixing it so it would
    flow better.

3. One assignment that I didnt wish to include
in my portfolio is my mystery. I ultimately
decided against this writing because I liked my
memoir more. My memoir just seemed to have a
better flow about it. Although, both my memoir
and mystery were very good, well written, and
interesting.

39
Most asked Questions
  • 5. Some weaknesses Ive noticed in these works
are punctuation or grammatical errors. Some
strengths Ive seen were very original work, full
of creativity and enjoyment within the writing.
A little advice I would give to this writer is
have a peer edit their writings, and work with
peers not only on editing but keeping the story
close to how this writer wants it to be.

40
Most asked Questions
  • 6. Well right now Im in the process of
finishing A journey once before. Though think
about it, I would feel most comfortable turning
Techie talk into a longer story. I think Techie
talk is a funny, interesting, and has the
possible of becoming my first sci-fan (sci-fi,
fantasy) story. If I extended it I feel that it
could open more opportunities for my writings.

41
Most asked Questions
  • 7. I could see my poem Childish love become a
script for a play. The play would be kind of
like Romeo and Juliet, but it would be them as
children. I think it would be both fun and
interesting to see how Romeo and Juliet played as
little kids, before their families started to
    feud against each other.

42
Most asked Questions
  • 8. Well the writing that reflect my personality
are Friend from Afar, Childish love, and A
journey once before. Each piece has at least one
trait of my personality, for instance Friend from
Afar reflects how close and silly I am with my
friends, by having little nothing fights. Then
in Childish love reflects how childish I am for I
really do like to hide and have people I care
about find me. Finally there is a journey once
before, where it reflects how much care I receive
    from my friends through protection.

43
Most asked Questions
  • 9. A few comments that other students have made
were of the creative originality of my works.
Some found words that I had made up to be quite
interesting, and thought that the rhyme scheme
was cute in my poems. Mostly all of the students
commented on my unwisely use of punctuation and
grammar needed to be fixed, also that my few
pieces that werent typed should be.

44
Most asked Questions
  • 10. The character I chose was Sophie from Howls
moving castle. I love your work its so full of
fantasy, adventure, and romance. I really
enjoyed your poems they were so cute on top of
that they all rhymed. My favorite piece I must
say is Cool Friends, I was just so touched by how
you and your friend came together again. I also
relished in the humor throughout most of your
writings, especially in A journey once before.
Your characters Calacia and Tallen are quite the
    funny pair when they argue.

45
Dreamland
  • Here on earth in an ordinary high school, lives
a girl who can enter her dreams. Not only can
she enter her dreams, but in her dream world she
controls all life well, most of it. So how is
this blonde, green-eyed bombshell of a girl to
survive her dreamland when in it she is
considered an unknown being and must be
    destroyed?
  • Alicia.Alicia snap out of it girl. Reika
hollered. Alicia jolted from her usual drifting
    façade.
  • HehAlicia is still not listening to you,
    Reika.
  • Yeah, its probably because you embarrassed her
    yesterday.
  • Heyshut up! Youre only going to make it
worse. You know she is sensitive about the
    story.
  • Now Alicia used the term friends very loosely.
Even though she knew these girls were using her
to get better grades, she still called them
friends. Alicia portrayed a normal, happy
student at school. However, at home it was a
different story. Her parents never got along and
were at the brink of a divorce. She did not care
about her friends or her parents. All these
troubles meant nothing compared to the perfect
    happiness of her dream world.
  • I just wish I could be happy. To live in my
dreams heh, maybe I should runaway to my
dreamland, she whispered to her bear-bear on a
    Saturday night.

46
Still Dreamland
  • Alicia lied on her bed, feeling as if she was
departing to her dreamland. This is wonderful.
Ill find my peace here. Suddenly, she awoke to
a thunderous crash. Her bed shook violently.
Alicia had entered her dreamland. However, this
time as she entered her room followed her into a
place she had never seen before.
  • Once things had settled down, two hands appeared
from under her bed. She screamed as a man with
tan skin, golden eyes, orange hair, and a black
tattoo on both sides of his face, began crawling
out from underneath the bed. After he wiped the
mud form his eyes, he looked at Alicia as if she
were a goddess or alien. It was quite a strange
expression, but is was not as strange as when he
talked. Woo arr joo yai arr joo erre? Joo kan
nit beh erre iks nit sahf ( who are you why are
you here? You can not be here its not safe!)
Then, he patted her head, muttered some inaudible
sentence, and left down the path through the
woods, leaving poor, confused Alicia alone in her
    bed in a forest.

More Dreamland
  • Well, she was not about to sit in bed and let him
get away. She wanted help, and he was the first
and only person she had had contact with, so she
got dressed, threw on her favorite cloak and
followed him to a local town. Once there, she
had some trouble keeping up with him and
accidentally bumped into a townsman, who knocked
off her hood. There were a few gasps. A couple
more men gathered behind the townsman. They
began to mutter in the odd languages she did not
understand. Suddenly, they grabbed her arm.
Alicia scared of what could be happening, pulled
away from the men and ran down some alley ways.
The men followed behind, yelling, but the yelling
did not faze her. She just had to get away. A
hand reached out from an adjacent alley and
pulled Alicia to the ground. Soon, a pair of
lips covered hers as the men ran by the alley,
and then a finger quickly replaced the lips. It
was the man from before. He looked out the alley
way to see if all the men had past. He sighed
in relief, Good, theyre gone. Now youre safe
for the time being, but youll have to stay
hidden. Ive noticed youve following me. So,
whats your name? She tried to answer him, but
he couldnt understand what language Alicia was
speaking. So were in quite a predicament. I
guess Ill have to name you. Hmm. I know! Ill
call you Kamiyu. Get it? Like cmere you. It
appeared as if he was trying to be corny, but it
was also sweet. Alicia could not help but laugh
and nodded in acceptance of her new name. She
made some weird hand gestures which the man took
for her asking his name. Oh, my name? Its
Hitsune. Okay now, so you just keep following
    me, Kamiyu.
  • So started the great adventure of Kamiyu and
Hitsune. What perils lie before them? Only time
    will tell.

Feast of the Jungle - Breadbasket Poem
  • Animals that run amuck, swiping and scratching,
we all must duck. Behind doors, desks and tables
too. The lunch bell has rung, now out comes the
zoo. Lunch in our school is a hunting spree, as
people lunging in lines of beasts. Posed to
pounce, about to strike, the animals of this
school are ready to bite any food. Everything is
prey, except our school food has been dead for
three days. However animals are social, and
people are too, and with all the clicks people
have know wonder we're a zoo. Cheerleaders are
tigers, bears for the jocks and as for the
stoners I guess their just rocks, artists are
toucans and peacocks too, and geeks are dolphins
    and crocodiles because of braces...ooo.

Dirty Stage - Breadbasket Poem
  • The dramatic scene of an amphitheatre kept
unclean. In its distain of sorrow and pain are
brought out. Through garbage filled steps leads
to our lone swipe of an audience. Left there to
comfort a once proud amphitheatre. Its long lost
love in beauty and passion to perform. The
shabby amphitheatre here is all but to be
scorned. Unwanted, betrayed by acts brought upon
it by none other than actors themselves. Oh what
devilish tales have come of our poor amphitheatre?

Novel Idea
  • I believe in fairytales, princes and princesses
falling in love, dragons and werewolves or
vampires too, unicorns with pixies and little
trolls fixing shoes, and elves or angels and
demons, whew! I believe in characters I make
from the following above, as they come to life on
my paper and every page there of. I write them a
little fiction or sometimes a whole lot, I give
them fanciful wide places or sometimes small cozy
    cots.
  • I imagine each characters actions with some
hidden meanings too, but my problem is that I
have a hard time relaying it to you. When I
think it up its magnifque, but when writing it
well it somewhat sinks. So many problems and so
many mistakes, cant I just write it while you
    fix all its breaks.
  • Ill write the story and you help it flow, dont
tell me what is wrong with it, just fix it as
you go by then it should be a great story, yes
the perfect fit its a wonderful that both you
and I. Both wrote and worked on it, well isnt
    that a novel idea.

sometimes but not about what you eat. I find
that no way to greet such a friend as you and I
have become. Somewhere in time we must gather
our friends and then well party again.
  • However, please think of me because Ill always
think of you, youre my drawing, my story, my
friend, its you. An inspiration thats what you
are shining brightno brighter than an star.

Aishiteru - Robber Baron Poem
  • Here I am watching, waiting, in this place
contemplating, in a thought so mesmerizing as to
how Ill stay with you. Though the weather has
been awfully dreary, and recent news made me
quite teary, after work had made me so weary I
still wanted to be with you. For you I must find
ways to captivate, and my routine I must
facilitate, so I do not procrastinate and have
more time with you. My love with you I cannot
boast, down this path we travel at a coast,
though I do enjoy a romantic toast by the fire
when Im with you. Keeping our love can be a
lot of work, but when I hear your voice my ears
begin to perk, I love it when I get your little
smirk when I joke around you.

More Aishiteru
  • Until summer we cannot play, winter doesnt bring
us a fun day, so its hard to make you stay and
spend more time with me. My love for you now
flows out through a sieve, so for my lack of love
I hope you forgive, because truly I cannot live
without you. Only to you I can express, and to
this I can attest, just you I will caress and
give all my love to you. Its you that I
choose, Its you I cannot refuse, I hope you
dont confuse how I feel about you. Im trying
not to fuss, and believe me this is not lust, I
want you to trust the fact that for you I say
    Aishiteru.

Taken of You Take a Snapshot Poem
  • Look at you there, sitting in a chair, without a
    care to do.
  • That day it was hot, but fear not, because Im
    here for you.
  • You are my friend, and my family, the two of us a
    pair.
  • You run when I run, I jump when you jump,
    together we dare.
  • Two years apart, it strengthen our hearts, you my
    dear friend.
  • In life we grew up, away from sippy cups, its
    hard to play anymore.
  • Im sorry to say, I can no longer play, so there
is no reason to settle a score.
  • We grew up and growing still, even if we go over
the hill, we still be together till the end.
  • This was taken of you, this of you my dear friend.

Life a World - Tap your Internal Language Poem
  • You make the sun and the moon and drive me crazy
    sometimes.
  • I cannot find things in this world that means
precious moment with you and all my love.
  • The world is a confusing place where my love is
hard to grow and keep though everyone wants my
    love for themselves.
  • This I cannot keep up with this it's too much for
    me.
  • I ask you please let me be let me be.

56
Daytime Talk
  • You are the one I wish to wake, after so long a
    sleep.
  • You shine alone without me, but that is not what
    I seek.
  • You melt the clouds away so I can see the world.
  • You brighten up everyday, and reflect off glass
    and pearls.
  • You make the rooster crow, and burn the farmers
    skin.
  • You block my sight all the time, against you I
    cannot win.

57
The Key of War
  • Its a bleak time for the U.S. in the year 3248
the entire west coast is a futuristic heaven,
while the east coast is a festering hopeless pit
of despair being hell. As the cities become
ancient tombs holding a dark secret soon to prey
upon the normal, ordinary lives of the people in
    the central states.
  • So our plan is a go theneh Morning Star.
  • An ear-splitting screech filled the room and a
rustle of wings came from the shrieks direction
where two white eyes were glaring. A few black
feathers blew into the dead sunlight shining
    through the window.
  • Oh Im sorry you dont like your previous angel
    name do you Lucifer.
  • Well Gabriel what makes you think the key will
choose you! Lucifer shouted his finger shaking
in anger in Gabriels face. Gabriel scoffed, I
surprised you would askI mean why wouldnt the
key choose me Im smarter, more of a gentleman,
    good-looking, and a better dresser.
  • Oh yeah well the key will choose me because Im
charming, dashing, and funnier than you!
  • Lucifer drew his bloodlust sword, silently
challenging Gabriel who shook his head in
disproval of rash violence and drew his ray of
    hope sword.

More The Key of War
  • The two clanged their opposite blades powered by
their opposite energies sparks flew as they
crashed again. Back and forth they fought until
Gabriel thought of a harmless wager Lucifer would
    jump at.
  • Okay Lucifer how about this I challenge you to a
wager to whoever can get the key to take there
    side wins
  • You know the war will start once one has the key
chose their side and if you have the key youre
bound to winokay Gabriel I accept your
    challenge.
  • Gabriel stumbled he didnt think Lucifer was
that stupid.though it was Lucifer he is talking
about. He withdrew his sword and took out a
small remote-like device which beamed him back to
the west coast. Lucifer hung his sword on his
throne and paced planning how to win the bet.
  • Meanwhile, in the central states a young woman
awakens from a terrible dream, she looks at her
alarm clock this 6 oclock in the morning.

Still The Key of War
  • This morning is the day miss Clara Bae will never
forget. 9 oclock a standard computer office,
Clara walks in looking rather droopy causing
    concern from her co-workers.
  • GeezClara you look beet rough night?
  • Huhoh no I just had a really weird dream
  • Oh was it a nightmare or was it a good dream
tell me Clara because I have a dream book
  • Come on you know that book is not going to do
    anything
  • its okay girls it was just a weird dream it was
of an angel and a demon fighting and talking
about a war and a key to the war
  • Oh wow I dont think that is in my book Clara
    but it sure sounds scary
  • You girls get back to workClara Im surprised
at you causing such a commotion
  • Clara apologized and began to work until seven,
then she would go home with her store bought
dinner, and she sit down with her cat and dinner
to watch the news. Clara is the type of woman
who is a plain, conserved and shy never would she
dream of doing something out of the ordinary or
having something out of the blue happen to her.

Reflections
  • Ive developed in some ways I read over what I
write more and try and find most of my mistakes.
I also do a lot of peer editing on my writings
    now.
  • The lessons I can apply in other classes is
definitely the grammar and punctuation. Ive
gotten somewhat better at doing them and my
writing is easily to understand than before.
  • My best piece in this portfolio I believe is
Dreamland, its a most interesting piece in my
opinion, I loved the idea which came from one of
    my own dreams.
  • To overcome my challenges I think of everything I
have writing, I think of dreams Ive had, or try
my best working with a prompt to write this
semester. Time to write and having a working
computer prove very difficult right now but Im
    working on them.
  • My strengths in writing are funny, original good
ideas and poems. I think when I can get a good
easy to read paper out everyone loves what I have.
