2I used to think that rabbits were the best pets
ever.
Now I am convinced that my rabbit has a brain the
size of a pea.
3Common Misconceptions
- Bunnies are cuddly!
- Bunnies live in hutches.
- Bunnies eat grass.
- Bunnies eat carrots.
4NEWSFLASH!!!
Bunnies are not usually in the mood to cuddle.
Especially when you are cutting their toenails.
5Bunnies do not like to be confined to a hutch.
In fact, mine would rather sit in the rain than
sit in her hutch.
6Bunnies do not eat grass. They mangle grass
- and dig up plants,
- and dig in gardens,
- and chew through cords,
- and rip upholstered furniture.
7Okay, bunnies DO eat carrots.
They also eat bananas, bird seed, orange peels,
rubber, cloth, paper,
cardboard, apples (core included), erasers,
baskets, and leather.
8Washroom Habits
Rabbits commonly back into a corner to relieve
themselves. Experts advise that you allow the
rabbit to choose its favorite area, and then
place a litter box in that corner. However, I
found that RABBITS ARE NOT A SURE SHOT. They
frequently back into the corner RIGHT BESIDE
THEIR BOX. Yuck.
- One of the most common misconceptions about house
rabbits is that they can learn.
9No matter how many times you tell them
10They Dont Learn!!!
11- But they do a few very fun things
- They ride in cars
- better than cats.
- better than kids.
- They do bunny-aerobic-twists in the air
- (youve got to see it to believe it!)
- They throw objects into the air with their
mouths.
12Close up of Bunny. (Yes, thats really her
name.)
