Storage Devices Drives

• When a computer is turned OFF all data stored in
  RAM are lost. Must be saved some how.
• A device connected to the computer that allows
  data to be written to and read from a storage
  medium.
• usually a DRIVE of some kind

• - Your secure storage space
• H\Home is your network space, only you can
  access it
• You will save all your work in your Home folder
  on the H-Drive
• Saving --- H\Home\filename
• H\Home\TechEd\filename

Setting up Home TechEd-9 Folders on your H
Drive (step by step)

• From desktopopen my computer
• Double click to open your Network drive (your
  name is attached to it)
• From the top menu choose filenewfolder
• Name the folder HOME and click OK
• Open your newly created HOME folder and repeat
  the process
• Name the new folder TechED9
