6Searching for Jobs and Intenships
7CareerNet allows you to search three databases.
Hiram CareerNet which displays jobs that are sent
directly to the Career Center, NACElink Network,
which searches human resource websites to find
positions for alums, and NEOintern.net which
focuses on providing undergraduates in Northeast
Ohio with quality internships.
Use this field to narrow your search by full-time
jobs, internships, teaching jobs and more.
DO NOT use the industry field to search for jobs.
Use the job function and keywords fields as the
industry field will substantially limit your
results.
8Click on the job title to bring up the job
description and qualifications.
Click on the employer to bring up the employer
description.
Click here to add the job to your list of
favorite jobs.
9Do not use your browsers back button to switch
back and forth between pages. Instead use the
seven tabs located below the blue Hiram CareerNet
Bar.
Search for Employers by Keyword
Add Employers under your Favorite Employers tab
to access them using the tab circled in green at
the top of this page.
10NEOintern.net is a database that shows
internships from all over Northeast Ohio. Create
an account to get a username and password that
allows you to search the system.
11Use this more advanced search to find internships
by job function and industry.
Click here for a chronological list of all the
current internships.
12Documents
13The documents tab allows you to upload resumes to
be reviewed by the Career Center staff, and send
electronic copies to potential employers.
Once the Career Center staff has reviewed your
resume, it will appear under one of these two
tabs.

events being sponsored by the Career Center.

information that you will need to compose a
resume.
After submitting the document it will be
converted to a pdf file and then appear on this
page without the approved review status.
16After clicking on the resume builder tab and Add
new this is the page that comes up. The
information that you have already given in your
profile will be filled in here.
The resume builder tool will ask you for all of
this information. After you give it, the tool
will allow you to choose one of three templates.
We dont suggest you use this tool to create a
final resume, instead use it as a guide for the
information you should include in a resume.

important information regarding the use of Hiram
CareerNet and resources for writing resumes and
