A Note from Melissa Kent

• This project was an act of labor and love from
  a group of wonderful fifth grade students. The
  project began for me as I saw an aging community
  not leaving behind their stories. A grant
  through the Beaumont Foundation gave us the
  necessary technology to undertake this project.
  Also, West Virginia University provided technical
  support as well as directions on collecting oral
  histories. Last but not least, the Bruceton
  Brandonville Historical Society was our community
  link. I would like to thank everyone that
  participated in this project from those listed
  above to the individuals that were interviewed.
  Most importantly, I want to let my students know
  how proud I am of them. They worked tirelessly
  transcribing the interviews and preparing the
  presentations you are about to view. I hope you
  enjoy them as much as we enjoyed preparing them.
