• During his most recent trip to New York, Mr.
  Foscolo got an opportunity to spend some time
  with an old friend of his, Katie Couric

• Mr. Foscolo went on to ask Katie Couric how
  everything was going at CBS Evening News

• Immediately, Ms. Couric began to cry. She went
  on to say that CBS wants her to do a series on
  events during post civil war reconstruction, and
  did not know where to begin.

• Mr. Foscolo did some quick thinking, and told
  Katie not to worry. He had a great idea to help
  her out. Have his 8th grade students act out the
  newscast for Katie. Its perfect!!!!

• In response, she laughed happily. WOW! What a
  great idea! You are sooooooo smart Mr. Foscolo. I
  sure hope your 8th graders are up to the task!!!

YOUR MISSION!!

• Help out Katie Couric! You will be put in groups
  of 4-5 and be given a series of events to cover.
  Each group member is responsible for one event
  and will have to do a newscast on that particular
  story. All of the stories will be put together
  and preformed for the class as a newscast! GOOD
