mentoring and professional development to new
teachers. - There are 2 BTSA Programs
- 1) BTSA - Induction (formerly NTIP)

guidance - Two years of support and formative assessment

- New Teachers with a CA Preliminary General Ed.
Credential - All content and K-12 Teachers (with exception of
Special Education Teachers and Counselors)

Over a two year period
- Attend Orientation meeting
- Work with Assigned Mentor Coach
- Collect evidence based on CA Induction Standards
- Engage in monthly P.D.

- Meets regularly with you on-site
- Guides you through district procedures
- Visits and supports your class
- Assists you in developing and obtaining
professional goals - Provides support without evaluation
- Draws on Tools and Training from the Santa Cruz

New Teacher Center - Incorporates a philosophy of reflection by both
mentors as well as participating teachers.
