3 On May 3, 2007, State Senator Leonard Lance
visited with Delaware Township School Fourth
Graders. He took time out of his busy schedule
to discuss New Jersey Government and history and
to answer many of the students questions,
including about his silliest bill, the typical
day of a senator, and what he wanted be when he
was young. We learned the silliest bill was
about llamas. He frequently travels to many
places in one day and speaks to all different
groups. When he was young, he wanted to play for
the Yankees. We would like to thank a DTS
parent, Jim Appleton, for contacting Senator
Lances office and arranging this special visit.
The Fourth Grade Class will also meet with
Senator Lance during their State House visit.
