Imagine that you own an automotive shop. You
want to remind car/truck/ RV owners that they
need some kind of service on their vehicle.

• Design an original database of 15 vehicle owners
  in random (not alphabetical) order.
• Use the following fields Owners First Name,
  Owners Last Name, Address (including City,
  State, and Zip), Vehicle Year and Type (i.e.,
  2003 Chevy Blazer), and Kind of Service Needed.
  Save as DBSHOP.
• Sort database by Owners Last and First Names.
• Create mailing labels (Avery 5930). Add your
  name to bottom of database. Save as LABSHOP.
  Print.

• Compose form letter (business formatp. 177).
• Paragraph 1express your thanks for the owner
  being your customer.
• Paragraph 2let the owner know what service is
  needed for his or her vehicle.
• Paragraph 3tell the owner about some kind of
  special promotion, service, or discount rate that
  is available for those who bring their vehicles
  in quickly to get done what needs to be done.
• Each paragraph must have at least 3 sentences.
• Use owners name twice, type of vehicle once, and
  kind of service once somewhere in the body of the
  letter.

• Print letter template and letter for Record 5.
• Save letter file as LETSHOP.
