  • 1. Apply online preferred method is ONLINE!
  • As long as you remember your temporary username
    and password, you can return to the application
    until you are ready to submit it.
  • You can pay the 30 nonrefundable application fee
    online so have a credit card ready when you are
    ready to submit.
  • After you submit the application, print the
    application for your records. Do not mail the
    applicationdouble submission of any part of the
    application can delay the review process.

Application to Florida Universities
  • 3. Complete Transcript Request Form and submit
    to Mrs. Moser, Building 15, for processing.
  • Allow four school days for processing
  • 1.00 per transcript
  • Transcript to be included with counselor
    recommendation forms will be given directly to
    your counselor
  • Transcripts for personal use must be picked up
    from Mrs. Moser
  • Be sure to check the appropriate spaces on the
    transcript request form for distribution of each
    requested transcript.
  • Official copies (Collegeboard and ACT) of your
    test scores must be sent to the Office of
    Admissions

Application to Schools Requiring Counselor
Recommendation
  • If college is requiring a counselor
    recommendation/secondary school report form
    (private and out-of-state, UCF), obtain a
    College Tracking Envelope (one per school) from
    Ms. Wicke in Guidance.
  • Submit each tracking envelope at least 3 weeks
    prior to the schools application deadline
  • Complete ALL sections of the College Tracking
    Envelope except the Counselor Notes section.
  • College Tracking Envelope must include
  • Transcript Release Form
  • Student Resume
  • Counselor Recommendation Form/Secondary School
    Report
  • Mid-year Report if applicable
  • A pre-addressed 10x13 envelope for each college
    application
  • 3 stamps per envelope 8 x 11 size
  • Counselor will mail unless college requires that
    all application sections be mailed together.
    Inform your counselor in writing that you will
    collect the counselor section and you will assume
    responsibility for mailing.

  • SAT/ACT not required for BCC. Community colleges
    administer the CPT on their own campuses free of
    charge
  • NOTE If you plan to be a candidate for a Bright
    Futures scholarship, you MUST take the SAT or ACT
    and earn qualifying scores even if starting out
    at community college

  • Curriculum is very specific
  • Culinary, Auto Mechanics, etc.
  • Some may have entry requirements
  • Research now and apply!
  • Credits usually do not transfer to a four year
    program

Bright Futures Scholarship
  • December 1 opens the window for 2008 graduates
  • We will go in the computer lab as a group,
    through English classes. NO follow up will be
    provided for student who are absent from this
    process. Those students that do not apply at
    school must apply online at www.floridastudentfina
    ncialaid.org
  • First evaluation based on transcript at end of
    semester in December
  • Another evaluation will occur after graduation
    with service hours and test scores on record
    through June
  • 70 of the Class of 2007 earned Bright Future
    Scholarships (77 FAS 80 FMS)
