Our location

• We live in Northern Spain,in a Community called
  Principality of Asturias(in short, Asturias).In
  Wales they have the Prince of Wales, here we
  have the Prince of Asturias the person who is
  going to be the next King of Spain.
• The area where we live is called Siero and it
  is located in the middle of the region.You can
  see it on the left.

Our neighbourhood

• We live in La Fresneda, a place very near
  Oviedo(the capital city).We love living here
  because we are close to the city but here is like
  a village no traffic and lots of green
  areas.Many of us go to school by bike.

Our school

• Our school is nice.We start at 900 am and
  finish at 400 pm every day.Our school has two
  buildingsOne for the small children (from 3 to
  5 years old) and the second for us (from 6 to
  12).
• We can have lunch at school and also do sports
  before lunch and after lessons in the afternoons.
• We also can learn music,dance,play chess or learn
  ICT.

More about our school

• What we like more is that we go out of school
  often to visit museums or other interesting
  places. Last year we went to practise ski for a
  whole week.We call it The White Week. We love
  doing that!

Celebrations at school

• We have some special days at our school
  Amagüestu( we celebrate autumn tasting sweet
  cider and eating roasted chestnuts.We also play
  typical sports and dance Asturian folk dances
  wearing our typical costume. You can see us
  dancing a very ancient dance La Danza Prima

Carnival, Graduation

• Every February we celebrate Carnival.We wear
  disguises and parents give us hot chocolate and
  pastries.
• At the end of June we have the last big
  celebration.We are going to graduate and go to a
  Secondary school in September.Some of us will go
  to different schools so wont be together next
  school year.

Our daily Life

• Living in La Fresneda is nice.We go to the
  Country Club to play sports or just meet.When the
  weather becomes hotter they open the
  swimming-pool so we can go swimming.
• We also meet in others houses or go out to
  play,ride our bikes o join in the Square or
  the park.
• In summers we spend a lot of time outdoors. In
  winters we have to do homework so we dont have
  much time.We also like using computers to talk
  to each other from home.Some of us take extra
  lessons of English or Music after school or go to
  a close area to swim as they have an indoors
  swimming pool there.

Our magazine

• We are happy because we have this European
  project.We looked for information about your
  countries and met your teachers when they visited
  our school.
• We have lots of ideas for our magazine.It will be
  great!!!.We are thinking of names for it.
• We wish you all a Merry Christmas (and lots of
  presents!!!
