Christmas Eve

• First thing in the morning is decorating of the
  christmas tree.
• In the morning we eat rise porridge with an
  almond. Person, who gets the almond will be
  lucky.
• In the afternoon some people go to church.
• Then Sauna is heated and the table is set.
• After Sauna its time to eat the christmas
  dinner.
• Later in the evening the Father Christmas comes
  whit presents and gives them to those who have
  been nice.

The Father Christmas

• The children write a wishlist of all presents
  they would like to have from Father Christmas.
• Father Christmas has many little gnomes who go
  around watching if the children are behaving
  well.
• According to the legend Father Christmas arrives
  from Korvatunturi on a sleigh pulled by reindeer.

Christmas food

• The most important food is christmas ham.
• There is also some casseroles like potato-,
  swede- and carrot.
• Different kinds of sallads and dark christmas
  sourbread.
• Mulled wine is hot drink with almonds and raisins.
