Daimler Chrysler is one of the world's leading
automotive, transportation and services
companies. Its passenger car brands include
Maybach, Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge
and Smart. Commercial vehicles are produced under
the Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, Sterling,
Western Star, Setra, Thomas Built Buses, Orion
and American LaFrance brands. It offers financial
and other services through Daimler Chrysler
Services. With 372,500 employees, Daimler
Chrysler achieved revenues of EUR 152.9 billion
(136.1 billion) in 2001.
5
Daimler Chrysler today has a global workforce, a
global shareholder base, global brand awareness
and a global outlook. Daimler Chryslers strategy
rests on four pillars Global Presence, Strong
Brands, Broad Product Range, and Technology
Leadership.
6
Daimler Chrysler is owned by European, U.S. and
other international investors approximately one
billion shares outstanding. Daimler Chrysler has
changed a great deal from wide-ranging
diversification to fully concentrating on the
development, manufacture and sale of the world's
leading automobiles. The aim has been clearly
stated Daimler Chrysler wants to become the
number one automobile manufacturer in the world
through continuous and economically sensible
growth
7
The biggest challenge in the coming years will be
to work with the considerable potential for
growth and profit of new technologies and growing
markets. We have adapted to the future by
focusing on our automotive business, through our
consistent strategy of globalization and by
developing our trademarks and business processes.
8
Our group decided to choose Daimler Chrysler
because we felt that car manufacturers have the
most extensive databases and it is a broad
subject in which we will have numerous categories
to choose from including Maybach,
Mercedes-Benz, Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge.
9
We chose to focus on Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep
because many people do not know much about
vehicles until they actually go to the car
dealership and this will give some people
knowledge about selecting cars and other
vehicles. It is an extensive database as we also
found out. The information provided will be
beneficial for the consumer as well as someone
looking at the structure of the company.
10
In the Chrysler division we focused on Cars
  • 300M
  • PT Cruiser
  • Concorde
  • Sebring Coupe and Convertible

11
In the Jeep Division the focus was on SUVs
  • Grand Cherokee
  • Liberty
  • Wrangler

12
In the Dodge division we focused on trucks
  • Dakota
  • Ram
