• A long time ago in the Midwestern area there was
  a huge man named Paul Bunyan.

• When Paul was young, his father had to cut down
  tall trees to build him a boat for a cradle, and
  his mother had to sew him a quilt the size of a
  football field.

• In a lot of ways, Paul was like any other baby.
  When he woke up he wanted to play. He rolled
  around the boat making it rock which was making
  huge waves. People had to climb on rooftops to
  get away from the waves.

• When Paul grew up, his parents taught him a lot
  of important things like not to lean on small
  mountains, not to step on farms, and most
  importantly how to use an ax. Paul loved to use
  an ax and he was good at it too.

• Paul grew up and found a giant ox named Babe and
  Babe stayed with Paul forever. Paul had his own
  logging company too.

• It didnt take long for Paul and his loggers to
  cut down all of the trees in north Dakota. There
  was one problem. There were tree stumps all
  across the state. So Paul pounded down all stumps
  with his giant fist. After he and Babe said good-
  bye to all of his loggers, he set off with Babe
  his blue ox.

• While Paul was walking with Babe he was careless
  where he was dragging his ax and that formed the
  Grand Canyon. He and Babe headed for California
  where the redwoods were so big. When a cloud
  bumped into a redwood it would rain.

• Some say Paul ended up in Alaska. He probably
  still swings that big ax and Babe follows him
  around.

• I am 10 years old. I love football, basketball,
  and baseball. My favorite foods are Lobster and
  Tacos. I like video games and sports.
