of Europe, across of the culturel differences
    and based on common values.

The good co-operation between the school and
the homes of the children
Education and culture - Lifelong Learning
Programme - GRUNDTVIG
2
January
  • Respect is not something that can be claimed
    you have to deserve it!
  • Respect is to be able to listen without
interpreting. This is easier said than done, it
acquires an acceptance of all the parties being
stressed once in a while. Respect is present once
you take the time to get to know each other and
are thereby enabled to see things from both
sides. Pay respect to your child and set up
    limits.

3
February
  • To comment on things and to interfere in tings
    means to pay attention.
  • The dialogue between the school and the home
must bear the impress of honesty, frankness and
    commitment.

4
March
  • Humour is a very important element, when you
co-operate on serious topics. Often it is the
humours that can make things go smoothly.

5
April
  • All the parties participate on equal terms and
take an active share in the solution of the
    problems.
  • The wish to learn and the desire to change
things interact. Show a positive interest in the
school attendance of your child. To praise your
child during the process creates motivation. To
be able to obtain positive motivation a number of
things have to be present, it is not just given
by nature. Things that have to be present are
Attention, you must be able to see the results,
acknowledge the development, and respond to the
behavior of the child, punctuality and response
    to limited contribution areas.
  • To set goals is a motivating issue because it
enables the child to hold focus on the situation.
Not too many, of course, one step at a time. The
goal must be the most important thing, precise
and obtainable, and something that the child can
    act on.

6
May
  • Who has the right to define the truth?
  • Stay in your own back garden!

7
June
  • We are all in the same boat.
  • We have the same purpose we do not have
children with problems but children in problems.
We have children, who need to learn some
abilities they havent picked up yet. We support
each other we do not judge each other.

8
July
  • Empathy is a requirement for co-operation. At
the same time to be loyal towards personal values
and to pay respect to the culture and life
visions of others. You must be able to face and
meet the anger and frustrations of your child.
Do not judge until youve been standing in his
    shoes.

9
August
  • Patience is a virtue. Some things can be
discussed, while others can not. Politeness is to
ask and not prying into things. That is to help.
A changed behaviour demands 28 repetitions before
it is a skill, so be patient towards your child.

10
September
  • It takes honesty and sincerity, when it comes to
acceptance and saying no. The good co-operation
needs the right terms the right time, place and
    surroundings.
  • We shall not just wait for the right moment in
misunderstood respect. Things must come out in
the open right away. Sender and recipient need to
speak the same language and we must co-operate on
the foundation of the same values but in respect
    of different areas of responsibilities.
  • The co-operation within the class of your child
is about listening, taking responsibility and
about giving. Be open about things, dont be
afraid to contact each other. Once in a while you
have to swallow the situation, but it is always
the result that matters in the end.
  • You must deal with reality. Dialogue is
important. It takes desire to co-operate. You
must think about your child before you think
about yourself. Use the possibilities that are
present. Think positive. Spend time. Schooling is
a long process with obstacles along the way.
Tools for a good co-operation are Agreements,
fast contact, direct contact between the adults
    and lots of time.

11
October
  • Clearness say it show it do it!!
  • There must be a visible and clear connection
between what you say and how you act.

12
November
  • People need to be treated differently, because
    we are different personalities.

13
December
  • Quality is when you do your utmost and everybody
has become wiser. But ask yourselves when is it
    good enough?!
  • Quiet expectations different types of choices
good atmosphere means good possibilities of
    learning.
