BACKGROUND

• The NICRN has been established to support the
  contribution of the clinical research community
  in NI to the work of the UK Clinical Research
  Network.
• Launched in April 2004, this initiative has the
  broad aim of making the UK a world leader in
  clinical research.

HOW WE FIT IN

PURPOSE

• To promote research within Northern Ireland
• To ensure that targets, including accrual of
  patients into trials, are achieved and
  maintained.
• To ensure effective communication for the Network
  by developing close partnerships and productive
  working relationships with key individuals and
  groups across the Network and the wider research
  community

WHAT WE PROVIDE

• Maintain a portfolio of network studies
• Assist with processes involved in setting up a
  study, in particular ethical, regulatory and
  local research governance approval for clinical
  trials
• Communications hub
• Promote the work of the NICRN and disseminate
  NICRN publications and information material.
