Introduction
  • PEFCU has several sales and referral programs
    running at the same time. Most of the time only
    front-line staff is eligible for those programs.
  • Every credit union employee was eligible for a
    promotion that we had in February of 2005.

Rationale and Objectives
  • Biggest challenge was that not every employee
    had authorizations to the spectrum commands
    necessary to do a referral or a sale.
  • We created an electronic eStatement
    sale/referral page on the PEFCU portal.

Implementation
  • This electronic referral and sale tracking was
    written in two pieces.
  • The first piece collects the data and stores it
    in a database. This took about 1 day to design,
    code, test and implement.

Implementation
  • The second piece takes all the sales for the
    previous day and signs those members up for
    eStatements, after the sign up it emails the
    members and lets them know that they have been
    signed up. This took about 1 day to design, code,
    test and implement.

Features and Functionality
  • The eStatement Sales/Referral page is available
    as a public page.
  • The only input fields required from someone
    making a sale or a referral are
  • Member Account Number
  • Members Email Address
  • Tellers Initials
  • Specify if sale or referral

Features and Functionality
  • All referrals that are made are valid for only 7
    days. After 7 days they are removed from the
    database.
  • Each week a winner for the promotion is randomly
    (automated job) picked from the database.

Conclusion
  • As of February 15th 2005, over 450
    sales/referrals have been tracked by this
    database.
