  • Always capitalized
  • Examples Hines Ward, Pittsburgh, Heinz Field

Adjectives
  • Describe nouns or pronouns
  • Two general classes of adjectives descriptive
    and limiting.

Descriptive Adjectives
  • Tell more about the noun or pronoun to which they
    refer.
  • Examples sparkling water, thick shell, cloudy
    day, exciting game, green eyes
  • Answer the question what kind? Or which one?

Limiting Adjectives
  • Restrict the meaning of the noun or pronoun,
    usually through numbers.
  • Answer the question how many?
  • Examples one bear, seven trout, fifty dollars
