  • Metered demand
  • The highest average during any
30-consecutive-minute period of the month of the
    load metered in kW.
  • Measured demand
  • The higher of the metered demand or 85 percent
of the load in kVA plus an additional 10 percent
for that part of the load over 5,000 kVA.
  • Billing demand
  • Same as measured demand except that the billing
demand shall in no case be less than 30 percent
of the higher of the currently effective contract
demand or the highest billing demand established
    during the preceding 12 months.

9
  • Revenue month
  • The revenue month encompasses a complete cycle
of meter readings for all meter routes from which
a month's sales statistics are derived. Under
end use wholesale rates, the revenue month should
represent a calendar month as closely as
    possible.
  • Accounting month
  • The accounting month is a calendar month, and
may or may not be the same as the revenue month.
  • Preceding 12 months (Preceding Billing High)
  • The most recent 12-consecutive-month period that
excludes the current month. This is referenced
in the Determination of Demand and Minimum Bill
sections of the general power schedules.
  • Latest 12 consecutive months (Latest Billing
    High)
  • The most recent 12-consecutive-month period that
includes the current month. This is referenced
in the Facilities Rental Charge section of the
general power schedules and the determination of
    GSA and TGSA class codes.

10
  • Billed revenue or rate schedule revenue
  • Amount received from sales of electricity billed
in accordance with provisions of the TVA rate
schedules. This includes customer charge and kW
and kWh charges plus facilities rental and
reactive demand charges, and lighting facility
charges, all as applicable under the rate
    schedules.
  • Facilities rental charge (resale schedules)
  • This charge is applicable to customers billed
under schedules GSB, GSC, GSD, MSB, MSC, MSD,
TGSB, TGSC, TGSD, TMSB, TMSC and TMSD. Since
this charge is specified in the rate schedules,
it is included in billed revenue. This charge
should be shown on the Large Consumer Report in
the column headed "Facilities Rental Charges.
  • Special facilities charge
  • This charge is a special charge which results
from an agreement between a customer and the
distributor when the rate structure charges do
not cover the distributor's cost of serving the
customer. Since this charge is not specified in
the rate schedules, it should be excluded from
reported billed revenue. This charge should be
shown on the Large Consumer Report in the column
    headed "Other Charges.
  • Facility charge (formerly investment charge)
  • The annual facility charge is a percentage of
the installed cost to the distributor of the
facilities devoted to street and park and
athletic field lighting and traffic signal
systems. This charge is billed to the customer
and should be included in billed revenue. This
charge should be shown on the Large Consumer
Report in the column headed "Schedule LS Facility
Charges." (See Part A, II. of the Outdoor
    Lighting Rate Schedule LS.)

11
  • Current month correction
  • A correction made in a customer's billing during
the current statistical month (before close of
the month's accounts receivable and preparation
    of the statistical report).
  • Prior month over/under-billing adjustment
  • A change made to a current statistical month's
report to compensate for over-billing or
under-billing reported in a prior statistical
    month.

12
  • Reactive demand charges (resale schedules)
  • This charge is applicable to customers billed
under Schedules GSB, GSC, GSD, MSB, MSC, MSD,
TGSB, TGSC, TGSD, TMSB, TMSC and TMSD. Since
this charge is specified in the rate schedules,
it is included in billed revenue. This charge
should be shown on the Large Consumer Report in
the column headed "Reactive Demand Charges.
  • Lagging kVAR
  • If the reactive demand (kVAR) established during
the 30-consecutive-minute period when the highest
metered demand occurs is greater than zero, the
    power factor is lagging.
  • Leading kVAR
  • If the reactive demand (kVAR) established during
the 30-consecutive-minute period when the lowest
metered demand (excluding any metered demand
which is less than 25 percent of the highest
metered demand) occurs is less than zero, the
    power factor is leading.
