Clinical Skills Competition

• WHEN
• ROUND ONE written cases
• Thursday October 4th
• Group 1 starts at 500 pm Group 2 starts at 700
  pm
• ROUND TWO case presentations top 10 teams
• Thursday November 1st 5pm??
• WHO
• All pharmacy students are welcome to
  participate!!! ANY YEAR
• You do NOT need to be an ASHP or MPSA member

• WHY
• Its a fun way to develop clinical problem skills
  and put your knowledge to use.
• PRIZES
• The winning team will travel to Las Vegas for a
  chance to compete in the
• National Competition at the ASHP Midyear
  Clinical Meeting (Dec. 1st- 2nd).
• ASHP awards complimentary meeting
  registration to both team members and
• MSHP awards 500 to the team to split for
  travel expenses.

• Before 4th Year
• Begin making a list of prospective sites
• Visit ASHPs Residency showcase
• be aware of the timeline Programs are
  interviewing for next years residents
• During 4th Year
• ATTEND ASHPS RESIDENCY SHOWCASE
• Talk with programs directors, preceptors
• Line up interviews
• Use PPS

• Draft CV and cover letter
• OCTOBER
• Sign up for MCM and PPS
• NOVEMBER
• Prepare questions for programs
• Ask people for letters of recommendation
