Procedures

  • Students will follow the Acceptable Computer Use
    Policy.

  • Students must be accompanied and monitored by a
    faculty member when working in the computer lab.

  • Students will avoid internet sites with
    inappropriate content.

  • Food and drinks must be left outside the computer
    lab.

  • Students will not access the computers control
    panel.
  • EVER!

  • The computer display settings will be changed by
    instructors only!

  • Students will save
  • data on floppy
  • disks provided by
  • instructors, not on
  • the hard drive.
  • Floppy disks from home are not to be used on
    school computers.

  • Students will exit all programs (back to the
    desktop) before leaving the computer. The
    computer will be properly shut down at the end of
    each period.

  • All computer components will be used with care
    and properly stored.
  • All tools will be stored and counted at the end
    of each class.
  • Safety when handling internal and external
    computer components will be evaluated on an
    ongoing basis.

  • Using computers in the school is a privilege, not
    a right.
  • Failure to comply with these rules will result in
    loss of marks.
