- You should have received a booklet in 2008 that
sets out all of these standards.

- Students and how they learn

- Collaboration and communication
- Professionalism
8State PDP Requirements ALL SEVEN standards areas
must be included in the PDP goals. One goal CAN
include more than one standard. One standard CAN
appear in more than one goal. Goals must specify
which area(s) each covers.
9To assist the goal writer, instructions are now
included in each part of the PDP form.
A. Professional Development Goals (4 to 6
recommended) (NOTE For teachers, each of your
goals must be tied to one or more of the Seven
Standards developed by ODE in 2007. If you
cannot locate your copy of these Standards, they
are available on the ODE website and on the North
Fork website, under Teachers and Staff. You
must identify which Standard(s) your goal
addresses, within the goal. During the duration
of your plan, and your license term, you must
address each of the seven standards.)

I will learn more about reading strategies,
techniques, and methods for the purpose of
increasing reading comprehension and
understanding in my language arts classroom so
that student achievement will be increased.
Teaching Standard 1 Students, 2 Content Area
and 4 Instruction.

I will learn about and apply higher level
thinking strategies so that I can incorporate
them into my daily science lesson plans, so that
student achievement will increase. Teaching
Standard 1 Students, 2 Content Area and 4
Instruction.
12Example Goal 3
I will gain an understanding on how to develop
interdisciplinary units by working with other
teachers, with the purpose of making learning
more meaningful for students so that student
achievement will be increased. Teaching
Standards 6 Collaboration 4 Instruction.
