What issues led up to the Civil War? For more
than 30 years arguments between the North and
South were growing. One of the conflicts was
taxes paid on goods brought into this country
from a foreign country. Another issue between the
North and South was over slavery.

I am leaving in one day and I have to tell
everyone goodbye.
What were some of the major events that took
place during the Civil War? Abe Lincoln, had
declared Government cannot endure permanently
half slave, half free is elected president.
The confederate states is formed with Jefferson
Davis. Later Abe Lincoln was shot.

Were set for space, for two months, I am so
excited about all of this, I wonder what it will
be like when I get home.
What was the outcome of the Civil War? The North
won the Civil War.

Last day in space It is time for me to come back
down to Earth, and instead of coming back to 2004
my spaceship landed in a whole different
century,1867 to be exact. When I landed I find
that the South had won the Civil War and slavery
has not been put to an end.
What significant Constitutional changes were
made? The biggest problem was labor across the
South.

Day one The world is a completely different
place and I dont know what to do. All this makes
me wonder what it will be like when I get home.
Will it be the same? Will it be different? Will I
have my own slave?
How did the economy change after the war? After
the North won the war slavery had been put to an
end.

Day two So many African Americans are being
mistreated, everything is so different, if only
the north could have won, and everything would be
different.
How did the government change after the war? The
thirteenth Amendment to the U.S Constitution,
passed by congress on January 31, 1865, is
finally ratified, slavery is abolished.

Day three There are confederate flags
everywhere, and everyone has there own, African
American, slave. I have so many questions but no
answers. Why did the south win the war?
Everything has changed completely.
How were peoples rights affected? African
Americans werent treated as badly, they didnt
have to work as slaves anymore, and whites no
longer had the right to have slaves.

What individuals made key contributions to the
state and the country during the Civil War? Abe
Lincoln made many contributions to the state and
the country after the Civil War ended.
I have been here for four days and I I think it
is time for me to go home know. I dont know what
to think about all of this, everything just keeps
me wondering. I just wish that slavery would end.

I am in my space ship and ready to go home, but
when Im in space something very odd happens and
before I know it I am back in 1867, but for just
a brief minute, and its different this time, the
south won the Civil War.
I am just ready to get home. Hopefully the next
time I land I land in 2004.
What political military developments occurred
during the Civil War? To the African Americans
who had been held in bondage their entire lives,
freedoms meant many things. It meant freedom from
white control, autonomy both as individuals and
as a community, innumerable regulations of
slavery, to hold mass meetings and to worship,
and to own property. Life was very different
after the Civil War and many changes were made.

I am finally home, but there is something very
weird going on, I am back to the day before I
left for space.
