  • It is not a program but a way of organizing and
    operating a school. Its foundation is a set of
    shared beliefs, values and goals. It results in
    an agreed upon set of processes and procedures

    academic support receive such support
  • Identifies needed support services for students

How does the team get referrals?
  • The school based team referrals come from
  • SSAASY
  • the discipline matrix (mandated referrals)
  • teachers, parents, agencies and peers

Who gets referred to the team?
  • Students identified as possessing risk factors
    that indicate a vulnerable or critical academic
    status
  • Students whose behavior requires a referral to
    the School Based Team
  • Students whose behavior, achievement and or
    appearance has changed negatively
  • Students who have experienced trauma or crises in
    home, school and/or community
