Title: Nuclear Charge Radius of 6He Madhusudan Ojha PHYSICS 621
1Nuclear Charge Radius of 6He- Madhusudan Ojha(
PHYSICS 621)
- 6He(t1/2807 ms) offers the unique opportunity to
study interactions in low density neutron rich
matter.
- Measurement of charge radii can probe the
interaction of the neutron halo with the
4He-like core.
Method
6 He Energy level
- This measurement helps to reveal the
- three-nucleon forces inside the nucleus
- The results of the measurements is compared with
values predicted by various clusture models - The result is also compared with ab initio QMC
- calculations using a modern nuclear potential.
