Scale Summary Hypothesis

• The terms PBF (Positive Breast Feeding) and
  NBF (Negative Breast Feeding ) denote two
  scales intended to measure attitudes toward child
  feeding.
• As NBF scores increase it is expected that PBF
  scores will decrease. Thus, a negative
  relationship is anticipated.

Analysis

• An XY Scatterplot graphically represents the
  association.
• The trendline represents the best fit line for
  the association.
• The R-squared indicates the amount of variance in
  PBF explained by NBF.

Conclusion

• The flatness of the trendline visually suggests
  little or no relationship.
• The R-square is close to 0, also suggesting no
  relationship.
• The hypothesized negative relationship is not
  supported.
