Log On To VPL

• Click on the word VPL on your desktop
• In the white box, type the word monty
• If the cursor isnt flashing, click on student
  click on log off
• Your cursor should now be flashing for you to type

• Fill in your Name and Hour
• Your Log On Name is 417 followed by the 1st
  initial of your first name and then your full
  last name
• Your password is cgms

Click on the A icon on your desktop

• The A icon on your desktop stands for ALearning
  Systems
• ALearning Systems is the same as Virtual
  Perspective Learning in this lab

Use your Log On Sheet to fill in the blanks

Select A Class

• Click on the class that your instructor has
  assigned to you

• Click on the hand that
• points to the right

• Your assessment
• prep will take
• several days to finish

Assessment Prep

• Finish a set of cards before you log off your
  test
• Cards not finished in a set are counted as missed
• The numbers at the bottom of your screen tell you
  what card you are working on

Finish Assessment Test

• Saving data message
• You are done with the test
• Signal the instructor for a printout of list of
  lessons
• 1-20 lessons in your list, continue on with 1st
  lesson
• 21 or more lessons, you will be assigned another
  assessment test
• Place the printout in your binder

• Fill out the name of your assessment test

• Write the assignment you just finished under
  Lesson Title

• Fill in your PRE-TEST score.
• If your score is 80 or more go to the next
  lesson
• If your score is 70 or less, you are ready to
  study and take notes (see next card)

• Next find your Study Notes sheet
• Fill out your name
• Fill out the assignment name
• Write the number of the card(s) on which you take
  notes as you go through the assignment

• When you see a globe and books, you can
• signal the instructor to get help
• You are in the Study Mode, not the Test Mode

• When you finish your notes, have your instructor
  initialize your record sheet

• Take the Practice Test
• 6 on the Process Sheet
• You do NOT need to report/record the results

• Record your Test Percentage on your Record Sheet
• If your Mastery Test 1 score is 80 or more, go
  on to the next assignment.
• If it is 70 or less, study your study cards
  again and add more study notes if you need to
• Take the Mastery Test a second time and record
  the result in Mastery Test 2 Score column

3rd Mastery Test

• If you have to take the Mastery Test a THIRD
  time, you must write the Qs and As down on the
  TEST NOTES sheet as you take the test
• See next card for a sample of the Test Notes
  Sheet
• Get help from your teacher to help you understand
  BEFORE you take the 4th Mastery Test

Rewards

• 5 lessons finished - free day (read a library
  book, clean your locker, draw, etc).
• 10 lessons - bring school appropriate music cd or
  iPod to listen to as you work on VPL
• Repeat (15 same as 5 lessons 20 same as 10
  lessons, etc)
• Once or twice during the 9 weeks, a ticket for
  EACH lesson youve completed will be placed in a
  drawing for prizes

Finish Assignments/Take Review Test

• After all assignments are finished
• Check to be sure you have gotten an asterisk from
  your instructor for each 80 or higher assignment
• Take the review test
• Signal your instructor for a printout to show all
  assignments have been completed
