- In Fall, you will be asked to complete your
reviews between October 15 and November 15
7A quick overview of PRS
8Program Review System (PRS)
- Will automatically download program report as a
single pdf file (you will need to download Adobe
7 or higher) - You will complete recognition report in an
on-line template - You can work on the report and save it prior to
submission - Direct contact with team
9Logging into PRS
- To get started you will need to follow these
steps - Step 1. Go to the URL http//aims.ncate.org,
- Step 2. Enter your ID (e-mail)
- Step 3. Enter your password

- you will see the log-in screen

15A change in PRS this semester
16Linking
- Programs that have identical assessments but have
some significant difference (degree level, etc) - Must have a shell in PRS for each program but
these can be linked (as evidenced by the color
coding)

18- Compilers submit all information in first report
and submit it. - When they open second (and subsequent) linked
reports all information and attachments from the
first report is copied into the second report. - The compiler changes any pertinent information on
the second report and submits it.
19Reviewers do the same
- Open up the first report, evaluate the report.
- Open the first recognition report template, input
text and information for all programs. - Submit the first report.
- Open the second recognition report, change
information on the cover sheet and submit the
report.
20Amount of Data Required
- Fall 2008 Two years of data is the optimal
amount - If a course is offered only once a year, the data
from that course counts as one years worth of
data - Remember that how a program analyzes the data to
make program improvements is the most important
factor in program recognition

- Be concise, and tie your decision to the evidence
- Where standards have not been met, provide clear
information on facets that need to be
addressed/improved - Make statements of fact based on their report
- Concentrate your review on the 7 assessments to
assure that the 6 ACTFL program standards (not
the supporting ones) are met

- Ask rhetorical (or other) questions
- Make inferences about their program, instruction,
or faculty - Provide extraneous advice, but do give direction
