2When I was a young fellow about thirteen, I had
somehow gotten in with a group of guys who were a
little older than I was, and more sophisticated.

Daisies was too much for me, so I quit.
24I was so sensitive about being a sissy that it
even bothered me when my mother sent me to the
market to buy some snacks.
