international level to control the emission of

So what has actually been agreed? Kyoto
Agreement set targets for countries to reduce

Problems Globally countries cannot agree on
setting emissions targets. US fears it will
damage its economy which is based on low cost
fossil fuel use. LEDCs like China and India are
rapidly industrialising but need financial help
if they are to become more efficient. LEDCs
object to MEDCs insisting they reduce emissions
when global warming is the consequence of MEDC
actions. Low lying countries like Bangladesh are
just hoping something will be agreed!!
